For Cannes Lions Festival, Pinterest invited RISOTTO to transport the studio to Pinterest Beach for a week of rapid-fire Risograph workshops in the French summer sun.
Designed as a fast-paced, hands-on print experience, the workshop invited around 200 guests each day to create their own custom RISO artworks. Participants collaged with a library of custom stickers, lettering and graphic elements, all designed by RISOTTO, before layering them over a suite of pre-printed Risograph backgrounds.
The project was developed as a tightly designed playground: playful, spontaneous and easy to engage with, but carefully structured behind the scenes to keep the workshop flowing smoothly at scale. The format allowed first-time RISO printers to quickly explore colour, composition and layering, while leaving with a bold, tactile artwork of their own.
Alongside the print experience, RISOTTO designed custom workwear for the team, creating a full visual world for the activation. Part workshop, part beach-side print studio, part production line, the project brought RISOTTO’s love of colour, systems and joyful print-making to one of the busiest creative festivals in the world.
